Ringwood Publishing is looking for someone to fill the post of Managing Director on a temporary basis for at least 25 hours a week for a minimum period of 6 months.
It is an excellent opportunity to gain serious management experience across the full range of publishing responsibilities. Duties will include staff supervision; financial planning and monitoring; overview of selection of new titles; editing and copyediting of new manuscripts: proofreading; and promotion and marketing of new and existing titles.
The Managing Director will have full management responsibility over all operational matters and will be accountable to the Chief Executive who will be in charge of policy and strategy.
Previous publishing experience would be helpful rather than necessary, but essential qualities are commitment, a love of books and a desire for a full-time career in publishing.
Anyone in a position to take on such an opportunity on an Intern basis (see our Intern page on this website) should submit an Application letter plus CV to mail@ringwoodpublishing.com.
The next stage would be an informal discussion with Sandy Jamieson, the Chief Executive, followed by a more formal interview with the Chief Executive and a member of the Ringwood Board.
