Our second newsletter of the year has arrived, and it’s full of exciting information!

In our second newsletter this year, Ringwood hasn’t stopped! February has been a busy month for both Ringwood’s authors and its interns, and we hope that you are as excited to read about it as we are to share.

Our authors have been working hard this month too! Read about George Barnsley’s two successful events at the Lanarkshire Family History Society and Rutherglen Library, as well as Tom Wood’s fascinating Scotsman article, reflecting on the aftermath of Nicola Bulley’s disappearance.

The newsletter further lists the following exciting events coming up this month:

2nd March – George Barnsley’s talk and book signing at Garrion Bridges Garden and Antiques Centre

6th March – Flora Johnston’s workshop at the William Patrick Library for East Dunbartonshire’s Local History Month

7th March – George Barnsley’s talk and book signing at Airdrie Library

21st March – Ringwood’s participation in ‘Libraries Day’ at Dundee Central Library

22nd March – Seán Damer’s talk and book signing at Hillhead Library

Please see the Ringwood newsletter for more information on these events. We would love to see you there!

Excitingly, Ringwood released our official Top 5 Best Sellers of 2022! Take a look to see if your favourite Ringwood book made the cut! A further Top 10 list will be released in the near future.

Our Ringwood “Get to Know Our Interns” featured Raquel Alemán Cruz this month. Raquel is a Senior Intern, and has been a member of the Ringwood team for over a year. The full interview is available in the newsletter, detailing the exciting and busy life of being a Ringwood intern.

Last but certainly not least, the newsletter rounded off by acknowledging Ringwood’s short story competition winner, Maureen Cullen. Amazingly, Maureen is not only Ringwood’s competition winner with her story, Kitten Heels, but also the runner up! We will be hosting an interview with Maureen for March’s newsletter, where you can hear about this dedicated writer’s history and any advice she can give to aspiring writers! Maureen’s stories, Kitten Heels and Next Step, are available to read on the Ringwood website.

That’s all for this month’s newsletter – we hope you enjoy reading it in more detail and look forward to seeing you next month with even more exciting updates!
