The nights are getting slightly lighter and our scarves are getting tucked away for a while as the hope of spring approaches! This means weekends and days off can be enjoyed outdoors – hopefully saving a bit of money! We have a recommendation for Glasgow locals to kick off the springtime.
The Hina Matsuri Japanese Spring Festival is happening on the 2nd March in the lovely Botanic Gardens! Tickets are free, so it would be a great opportunity to try something new with the kids without breaking the bank! From 1-3.30pm there will be Japanese experience corners, allowing you to learn about a new culture. You can try your hand at origami, Japanese calligraphy and taste some Japanese sweets! From 2.30pm onwards Taiko drumming will be performed by local adults and children – it’s a festival for all.
Hopefully you’ll be granted with good weather, giving you the opportunity to read some new Ringwood novels in the sunshine!
