Thank you to everyone who came along to Hillhead Library yesterday afternoon to launch Revenge of the Tyrants with us and author L. A. Kristiansen! We thoroughly enjoyed spending the afternoon listening to Lynda discuss the inspirations for her series on the Scottish Wars of Independence, before she answered some fantastic questions from the audience.

Our audience listens closely to a reading from Revenge of the Tyrants by Paul Ryan, before Lynda answers some of their burning questions.
Lynda Kristiansen discussed her passions for researching and writing about the Scottish Wars of Independence.

Our audience asked questions about Lynda’s research process for Revenge of the Tyrants, her plans for the rest of her eight part series, and Scotland’s historical fight to maintain their Independence.

Ringwood author of the Bob Kelty series, Rob McInroy, joined us via video to discuss the importance of continuing to read and write historical fiction. We’d like to thank Rob for taking the time to offer us his insights, and introducing the audience to Lynda’s latest historical fiction novel.

Author of Ringwood titles Cuddies Strip and Barossa Street, Rob McInroy, joined us via video to explain why he and others write historical fiction.

We would also like to thank Ringwood Chair member Lynsey Smith for chairing the launch yesterday, and opening the event with a wonderful speech about the contemporary resonances within Raise Dragon, Revenge of the Tyrants, and other historical fiction titles by Ringwood.
