Picking Daisies by Charles P. Sharkey

About the Book

A tale of murder, suspicion, and a trail of bodies preserved in time. Ringwood are excited to announce Charles P. Sharkey’s new title, Picking Daisies. A sequel to the gritty and authentic Clutching at Straws, which delved into the criminal underworld of Glasgow’s gang warfare, Picking Daisies follows Inspector Frank Dorsey and his loyal partner DC George Mitchell on a trip to the Highland settlement of Glencoe as he investigates the disappearance of a female student. However, during their search, authorities have coincidentally uncovered a body preserved in a peat bog. As several more emerge, it becomes obvious that a brutal serial killer has been terrorising the surrounding area for years. How has this murderer managed to evade authorities at every turn; and why does he insist on adorning his victims in blonde wigs and hand-sewn cotton dresses to meet their demise? As Dorsey races to uncover the truth, tensions rise amongst his family, friends, and colleagues. He is steadfast in his mission to save future victims for their own savage ends, but, as a series of challenging pitfalls occur, Dorsey struggles to unearth the identity of the bloodthirsty killer who resides at the rotting core of this unforgiving case.

With twists and turns which will leave the reader gasping for breath, experience this suspenseful adventure from one of Scotland’s most exciting contemporary crime writers.
