On Thursday 16th June, one of Ringwood’s celebrated authors Flora Johnston, took part in the Borders Book Festival. The event focused on Scottish Historical Fiction and featured Flora as part of a trio of female writers whose texts each consider Scottish history through a female lens.
This was a very successful event and generated great interest in Flora’s wonderful book What You Call Free, which features two strong female characters that prove resilient in the days of the Covenanters. Many of the audience bought copies of Flora’s book from the Festival Bookshop and we are very pleased for Flora and proud of the success she has generated through her participation in this event.
