I don’t know if you’ve heard, but we are accepting entries for our 2023 Short Story Competition. All the details about the competition can be found here, but in short, anyone can enter, and there are multiple prizes to be won.

I repeat, anyone can enter. Even if you haven’t written a story since your school days. But if you’re reading this, then chances are that there is a story at the back of your mind that is itching to be told. If that’s you, and you’re feeling a bit unsure or want some advice, then come along to our seminar.

This is a free workshop and informal event open to anyone who wants to get some tips and have a chat with writers and other bookish people. Two of the competition judges, Rob McInroy and Maureen Cullen, both Ringwood novelists with prize winning short story competition experience, will lead the seminar. Ask questions, share some tips of your own or just listen to others’ advice.

This will be taking place at 2pm on Sunday 22nd October at Hillhead Library. See you there!
