What a busy and exciting month it has been. Here at Ringwood we have been busy attending events all over the UK. Have a look at some of the things we have been up to.

Ringwood’s Senior Operations Manager Isobel Freeman participated in a panel event at Aye Write. This event was designed to help hopeful writers learn how to get published. She shared valuable information alongside Andrew Meehan, Vikki Reilly and Caro Clarke.

We also had not one, not two, but three events to promote Bodysnatcher. Our newsletter contains photos and information all about these events that took place in Edinburgh and at the International Gothic Summer School held at Manchester Metropolitan University.

The newsletter also shares what happened at 2023’s Glasgow Mela. An event close to our hearts, in memory of Ringwood author Leela Soma, we thank everyone who attended this event, despite the weather.

Our last event was at the very end of the month. Flora Johnston was joined by our Submissions Manager, Megan, in Edinburgh to talk about the process of writing and publishing books for local aspiring writers. More plans are in the works for future events of this nature.

The Ringwood newsletter would not be complete without the latest edition of “Get to Know Our Interns”, which focused on Megan Gibson this month. Megan joined Ringwood in November 2022 does a few jobs in addition to being the Submissions Manager. The full interview is available in the newsletter, where you can find out Megan’s thoughts on the Scottish publishing industry.

Finally, we shared a new initiative, Ask the Intern, where we ask Ringwood readers to submit their questions. Don’t be shy, we’d love to hear from you!

That’s all for this month! To get the newsletter in your inbox (just the newsletter, no spam, we promise!) you can subscribe here. To read June’s newsletter in full, click here.
