It’s been one week since our launch of The Hotel Hokusai by T. Y. Garner at Hillhead Library, and we just wanted to say a massive THANK YOU to those who attended!

Full house: A captivated audience listens closely to Garner discussing his inspirations behind The Hotel Hokusai.

We hope you all our event where we got to discuss Garner’s literary and cultural inspirations behind the plot and the characters in his novel. We hope everyone got a chance to grab a copy of The Hotel Hokusai and get it signed by Garner since we sold out of our copies at the launch! But don’t worry if not – we have more signed copies available to buy here

Eager attendees wait for their chance to grab a signed copy of The Hotel Hokusai and to meet Garner.

Thanks to Garner for sharing readings from his novel, and for answering all of our burning questions on The Glasgow Boys (and creating their characters in the novel), identity, and living in a foreign country.

Garner gives readings from his book alongside intern Megan.

We’d also like to thank Hillhead Library for providing the space needed for this launch. And finally, thanks to the amazing team here at Ringwood who did everything to make this event a success!

Garner stands centre, surrounded by Ringwood support interns and team members who helped to put on this amazing launch.

We’ll see you all at the next one – Glasgow’s Burning launches on Sunday 10th March in McNeills Bar in Glasgow’s Southside at 2pm – we’ll see you all there again!
